Underground Storage Tank Management

Verina Consulting Group, LLC (VERINA) currently represents a large group of facility owners that own and/or operate underground storage tanks (USTs); of which each are eligible for reimbursement from New Jersey Petroleum UST (PUST) funds. These PUST funds, administrated by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, are available to allow the owners to manage their environmental liabilities associated with their USTs.
Project activities include:
• Provide New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) oversight of the UST closures, site assessment, investigations, and remediation activities;
• Develop scope of work and life-cycle cost estimates for the application to the PUST Fund;
• Implement UST closure activities and reporting needs;
• Prepare and implement site assessment and investigation program, including
− Soil boring investigations;
− Installation of groundwater monitoring wells;
− Hydropunch® groundwater sampling;
− Cone Penetrometer Testing for detailed soil lithology evaluation; and
− Geoprobe® soil and groundwater sampling.
• Conduct groundwater flow and contaminant fate and transport modeling analysis;
• Implement interim remedial measures for petroleum product recovery and hydraulic controls of contamination sources and plume;
• Conduct field pilot studies to evaluate feasibilities of remedial technologies; and
• Implement site remediation for site closures.
