Litigation Support

Verina Consulting Group, LLC (VERINA) was retained by a premier New Jersey law firm to provide litigation support for a case involving a gasoline service station in Middlesex County, New Jersey. VERINA assisted the firm by developing investigative strategy including collection of a number of soil and groundwater samples for forensic investigation in order to pursue cost recovery from previous property owners for environmental remediation of a discharge. Using the data from site-specific sources, including contaminant chemistry, aquifer characteristics, and soil lithology, VERINA prepared a plume migration map which was used to construct a timeline of the original release. An expert witness report was prepared to assist the firm to recover costs associated with the environmental remediation from previous property owners
