Verina Consulting Group, LLC (VERINA) was retained by a Fortune 500, global diversified manufacturing company to provide environmental consulting and project management services for its two legacy facilities in Binghamton area, New York. Both sites were under New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) oversight.
Project highlights include:
• Developed exit strategy to effectively discharge environmental liabilities and achieve site closures for these sites;
• Prepared reserve and life-cycle cost estimates for the clients financial reporting and environmental liability management associated with these two sites;
• Managed project budget and validated reserve estimates to ensure achievement of site closures;
• Led negotiation and discussion with state regulatory agencies and other stake holders to implement remedial activities at the sites; and
• Managed and oversaw activities performed by the environmental contractor and subcontractors.

VERINA’s services have enabled the client to proceed with the successful transition of property ownerships while being left with a strategy and financial plan to effectively manage the retained environmental liabilities.
